Tamworth (YSTW)
Airspace
TW ADC is responsible for the Class D airspace in the TW CTR, as well as the Class C airspace between A045 and A065.
Dual ADC operations
When ADC South is Online, they are responsible for the airspace between the TW 160 Radial, West through to the 295 Radial.
Tower Closed Proceedures
When TW ADC is closed, the Class C & D airspace from SFC to A085 is reclassified as Class G.
Departures
VFR aircraft should expect to depart via a visual departure, on track to their first tracking point.
IFR aircraft shall expect to depart via a pilot-managed IFR departure or visual departure.
Arrivals
An ILS approach is available to RWY 30R. RNP and VOR approaches are available to RWY 12L and 30R. VOR and NDB approaches are available to the circling area.
IFR aircraft can generally expect to be processed direct to the IAF for the most suitable (or requested) approach.
Runway Modes
When PROPS are in use, RWY 12R/30L is generally used used for:
- All single-engine VFR arrivals and departures from the 160 Radial through West to the 295 Radial
- Arrivals via DUA
- Departures via GST or GWT
- Single-engine circuit training
RWY 12L/30R is generally used for all other operations.
